Cabinet members of the new Government took their oaths before President Rajapaksa this afternoon. The swearing in took place at the Presidential Secretariat.

•Prime Minister D.M.Jayaratne also took oaths as Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs.
•Ratnasiri Wickremanayake was swron in as Minister of State Management and Reconstruction.
•Nimal Siripala de Silva took oaths as Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Management.
•A.H.M.Fowzie is the Minisgter of Disaster Management.
•Maithripala Sirisena took oaths as Minister of Health
•Susil Premjayantha was sworn-in as Minister of Petroleum Industries.
•Dinesh Gunawardena is the Minister for Water Supply & drainage
•8.Douglas Devananda is Minister of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development•A.L.M.Athaullah is the Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils.
•D.E.W.Gunasekara is the Minister of Rehabilitation and Prison Reforms
•Rishard Bathirudeen is Minister of Industries and Commerce
•Wimal Weerawansa is Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Public facilities
•Basil Rajapaksa is the Minister for Economic Development
•Patali Champika Ranawaka is the Minister of Power and Energy
