DDO, Level 14 Paladin vs. Level 14 Vampire, Solo on Hard.wmv

First movie I saved after playing DDO for about 6 months (first character). This is the final boss monster in The Temple of Vol (The Church and The Cult) on Hard. I was using a Plain +5 Greatsword, so his DR was hard to get through. I went back again with a Silver +5 Flaming Greatsword and killed him in less than 2 min.

So i have been playing LOTRO and i have played this before it looks really fun and is from what i remember, but i am having a really tough time on what to play, DDO or LOTRO the deciding factor to me is size, like how big is this game? does it compare to middle earth? are the outdoors big? are there many dungeons?

@dakotaraypacker It is rather big. Upgrades have been pretty steady too since becomming FTP. Theres around 250 quest, about 15 outdoor areas. It's also very complex with item and skill variation so that characters are unique (of course with general things most get too). The only other MMOs I've played are Ultima Online and Planetside, but to see size, go to ddowiki.com and check out quests and other locations

@TheCaliber64 That's a fireball spell I believe (could be higher level like delayed fireball or something, not sure). If you don't play ddo, the spells are same directly from game books, so area spells are pretty good in the game.

@sneakycamper2099 It depends on what you want to accomplish. Fighters are made to tank and pally's are more of a dps class and can tank if you build them right. In DDO it's all about customization so read up a bit on each class and their paths and make up a build of your own. To begin I would go with a set path to get the ropes of the game. Goodluck and join the Orien server (that's where all the cool people are haha).

Im new to the who DDO coming from WoW and checking it out and will look into a paid sub! I love the video but is there other classes that are better or you can make like a Tank like Pali toon ???????

@BruceJAX yeah i lvled fast abd stuff i lvl to 20 fasterf in like 2-3 months once i get to lvl 12 i do vale though and how'd that misssion take 15 mins? lol and no offense my lvl 8 crits like 200-300 xD

@QScoope It's actually a fun game. Remember this was just a recording of a tough fight for my toon at the time. I died on first time so felt like recording second try (read full description). Look at ddowiki.com to get an idea on things like xp. I took my time and soloed like 100% and took me just over a year to max at level 20, but I know others do Much faster (with groups).
