I KNOW huh! And the bulls had THREE Arizona Wildcats on their team in 98, i believe. Kerr, Jud Buschler and the late great Brian Williams. Awesome memories!
but you gotta think of another thing. ever since like 2000 PHX has played uptempo, spectacular, no defense game. The climax came in '05 when the great team (Nash, Matrix, Amar'e, d'Antoni) won the best record in the NBA - but the frickin Spurs beat them convincingly. Same thing in '06 and '07 - they are defeated in the playoffs by a strong defensive team. So what can Kerr do, watch another great season and disappointing playoffs -- or try and change sth? Think about it.
look, 05 wasn't convincing by the spurs- they were all close, by a few points, and stoudemire averaged 38 pts against them, so there were definite signs then, and consistent improvement from a very new Suns team after that. in 07 the suns had beaten SA twice at SA, something which never happens to SA, and the Suns were easily favored to go through an old Spurs team that never played well after that year. so the suns were only a horry foul away from the trophy- drastic overhaul not necessary.
