  • I don't blame the monkey... Fraser was hot in George of the Jungle.

  • I lost it at "Bird... boner?"

  • he looks soo washed up

  • Also, I believe Brendan Fraser is Canadian. :)

  • @anditspaganpoetry Oh, I see, em-yu. I'm aware of where the bird is from, I'm just mostly curious about the pronunciation. But as I pronounce it, it sounds accent-based. I don't think an American would pronounce something that way. Koala bear, on the other hand, is plain wrong. It annoys me, too, because koala's aren't bears at all. I live in America, but I'm naturalized, my first language is Korean, so I could also be wrong about the accent thing. :)

  • @prodigychild1988 Emu's are native Australian animals. They are actually the national bird of Australia. And yes, em-yu is correct, while e-moo is wrong. It's kind of like how American's say koala-bear, even though koala's aren't bear related. It's just meant to be a koala.

  • @anditspaganpoetry what? ... are you saying the pronunciation is like em-yu and not e-moo? i'm confused... but, in America, most people would pronounce it e-moo, and we do have emu farms and things, so I think it might just be a regional thing, and not exactly incorrect.

  • It's a shame Fraser isn't in more films, I only really know him for The Mummy and George in the Jungle.

  • e-moo, no, no it's EEEMUU! lol

  • @ShadowinaCave Define "boner." If it means an engorged penis--which it does--then you are the mistaken one, not Fraser. Ratites, like the emu or the ostrich, do have penises, and they do enlarge in preparation for intercourse through the shunting of lymph to said organ.

  • Emus don't even have a "boner", ya big fibber. If you're going to invent a story to tell on chat shows, at least make it believable!

And no, I agree he hasn't aged well.

  • Poor Brendan hasn't aged well has he...
