Because everyone wants to watch a train wreck.
All the news networks fail to do their job. None do real journalism. none hold guests to the facts, they just let them blather stats with no check.
Fox is the worst, because they accually distort what they cover.

FNC grew in double digits in both total viewers and the A25-54 demographic from January 2009. In prime time, it was up 22% in total viewers and 51% in the demo. CNN was down 34% and 37% and MSNBC down 26% and 38%. In total day, FNC was up 16% and 28%. CNN was down 34% and 41% and MSNBC down 28% and 39%. Last January all networks performed while with the Inauguration coverage.

Fox is a horrid propaganda tool.
Are they trying to ruin the country with miss information and lies, or are they just after the dollar, and the public be damned.
The underware bomber talked for 50 minutes before amanda rights read. He then stopped talking.
Then he was interigated by the FBI and has been talking for weeks.

Going into Afghanistan without taking a hard look at the Soviet experience in Afghanistan - and how NOT to repeat those mistakes.
Going into Iraq without even reading Lawrence of Arabia and having absolutely no plan for the post-war situation.
