Clip from GITS 2: Innocence
Togusa talks with forensic specialist Haraway.
She tells him what she thinks about creating objects that appear human, and the reason as to why, hence the title.
Notice the similarity between the inanimated Togusa, and the lifeless gynoid.

If you read the Cyborg Manifesto by Donna Haraway you'll find out that she used the cyborg as an analogy to the human being. This clip confirms that the name reference in GITS2 is'nt a coincidence.

  • is the forensic specialist 'Haraway' a reference to Donna Haraway who wrote an essay called 'A Cyborg Manifesto: Science, Technology, and Socialist-Feminism in the Late Twentieth Century' in 1985?

  • They even made her sound like Donna Haraway. Uncanny.

  • she must've had an angry and sour childhood with no dolls

    why not allow life-forms

    better than us
