  • PLEASE READ< ??? Do the glowplugs have to be working for a diesel to start, what if the dont work? will it still start? is thier anyway to start it without them?

  • It would be really, really difficult (especially in cold weather) to start a diesel engine without glow plugs to get the cylinder temps up.

  • cold start! 65 degrees!

  • I know...I know...

Your blood thins down in FL!

  • Kewl... fires right up. Are those the SSdiesel Supply? Ug

  • Nice rig. 65 degrees might be cold where you are but thats a beautiful warm day here. -20 degrees would be a cold start here. I think your truck could handle it no problem though. I like the push button control. Peace!

  • @zeitgeist57 unless u own a cummins which has a grid heater, no glow plugs

  • nothing about your beautiful rig. it is 5 degrees here today, and my truck starts great. key is to keep the block warmer plugged in. 65 is nice warm day. diesel needs no block warmer in that weather. if i don't plug in, mine is hard to start. .. agian, beautiful rig... love it... i do have a vid of mine starting this morning posted..

  • nice truck man reminds me about my truck. start right up

  • Nice suit

  • @dirtrider5001 yeah you can start a diesel engine without glowplugs, just shoot some eether in the air breather, it'll start rite up!

  • @xsilverstudx I agree 65? not cold

  • cold start at 65F?

just a video or are you saying something here?

I do this every morning for the past 5 years in a z06. Whats so special? temps here are greater than 65 maybe one or two months in a year.

    anyways cool truck!

  • So whats up with the Civil Air Patrol sticker on the windshield?

  • hey nice looking truck....im parting one out a 6.2 diesel dually now so

if you need cheap parts check me out at...

    .....iPartCars(DOT)com

  • ha! 30 degrees here is t-shirt weather.. lately it's been about 0-5 in the mornings and 20 something in the afternoon.. hell has frozen over if i get my 6.2 to start at below zero. no pun intended. go Minnesota!

manual switched glow plugs and stabbing the pedal and holding till it starts seems to work.. next step, propane shots?
