There is no such thing as palestinian people. Arabs who after 1948 started to use this hellenized Hebrew word as their "name" has nothing to do with Indo-European Greek Kafftors who were called by ancient Israelis Philistines.

Palestine comes from Hebrew Peleshet-p-l-š (Hebrew: פלש‎) which means to divide, go through, to roll in, cover or invade. Not a single Arab ever called itself Palestinian before 1948 and as Gingrich rightful said, they are invented people.
