@lairdsipper Google agrees, although they translate "haba na haba hujaza kibaba" as "little by little fills the pint", and "haba na haba" directly to "little by little". Interestingly, from English to Swahili they translate "little by little" as "kidogo kidogo", and "kidogo kidogo" translates back to "a little bit". And "lala salama" translates to something to the effect of "sleep well", so it would appear that he took some creative license in the translation.
All of that aside: awesome song!

@robbys55 Have seen him 3 times. Once from about 10 feet in a small theater just this May 2011. You are correct. It doesn't even matter if you like this kind of music you will love him. But how could you not love 2 hours of pure melody?

Tommy Emmanuel is an outstanding individual and musician. I have seen him live several times and he has exceeded expectations on each occasion... he truly is one of the greatest minds of our time.

the eurovision 2011 song of norway by stella mwangi uses the saying in a different way and incorporates the whole saying as well. I'm not saying tommy emmanuel is wrong with his interputation just giving some info about the word of lyrics :)

his translation is a little bit off... haba na haba is actually part of a saying which goes "haba na haba hujaza kibaba" which translates directly to "a small mesure and a small mesure usually fills a bigger mesure". and lala salama translates to "sleep well" or "good night" (lala=imperative of the verb kulala which means to sleep, salama is a loan word from arabic and means "good" or "well").

@nuddp4 Just because he's fbetter than you at playing the guitar...

@robbys55 Not only Steve Vai, also Mr. Eric Clapton said that he is number one... And he is so damn right!

Everyone needs to go see him live at least once in their life. Words cannot describe what he does on stage. The sound is absolutely incredible! Most of all, his energy just beams from the moment he steps onto the stage. Steve vai once said he is the greatest guitar player in the world...not necessarily based soley on his skills, but because of the way he makes you feel. Amazing!
