Yes, it's sad that the podengo grande has become more and more rare in its native country. I think it's like the Bald Eagle of the United States. We took it for granted and then one day we realized they were almost all gone. But we made a huge effort to protect and breed them and now the species is stable. I think in Portugal they will take care of the podengos and not let them become extinct. I am trying to help them.
