Best tips for job interview:

1. Wear something nice, if your a woman, don't reveal too much cleavage

2. They want to get just a "taste" of your personality, not sit through War of The Roses.. keep it short and sweet

3. Don't talk about negative experiences in your past regarding schooling or past jobs, sound POSITIVE 100% through the interview, leave a good taste in their mouth

4. Use common sense -no gum, no phones, good hygeine

5. Talk about your strengths

I never got the "what's your greatest weakness" question. Everyone has weaknesses, so why would an employer or interviewer be determined to find somebody that's either going to embellish the truth or just lie straight to their faces? I'd think you'd want someone whose honest but doesn't rant on about all their issues, not "I just work too hard!". There's no truth in that, none. Anyone can SAY that, but how does having a silver tongue prove you're the best candidate?

My rule has always been to just give the shake some initial energy and wait til it dissipates. No need to count, it usually goes by quick.

Usually, people that were good in interview were the crappy employees. Job interview should not be the basis in hiring, I agree with other posters, thatinterview is all about bulshitting, or if you're really attractive, you have a bigger chance they will hire you.

Ask them about their job experiences and how it's going to relate on the job they're applying. And for me, a thorough background check is the most effective in hiring the right employee.
