I have an L5, and at some point also had a Strat Elite. I still could not sound like Ty. His tone is in his hands. He could play through a little Pignose amp and make it sound like a million bucks.

I've always wondered if Ty used a sort of chorus or light flange on the "original" Lab-era tone? Or possibly double tracking? it sounds just ever so slighly chorused...anyone know for sure?
