@tutugirl4life Well, from what I've already seen and read from Giselle, I honestly believe we can say he does love her. The problem is, this guy's acting is terrible, I thought I was the only one to have this opinion. Maybe that's why some people are not so sure he loved her. But if he didn't, he wouldn't get so desperate neither try to kill Hilarion when Giselle dies. But it's just my opinion.

@merluzasfritas I wish I could see videos of her dancing with Roberto Bolle, who is in my opinion the most perfect Albrecht ever (as an actor). I'm completely sure that if I ever find videos of them I'm gonna cry so much.

@SopranoKayla1992 but even though she's already dead, Giselle still loves him so much, so she protects him until the dawn, when the Willis disappear.

@SopranoKayla1992 Giselle, of course, doesn't believe him, so Hilarion tell the other aristocrats that Albrecht has arrived, and when Albrecht and Bathilde meet she finds the truth. She goes crazy, and, already suffering from a weak heart, she has a heart attack and dies;
The second act takes place at the forest, where the Willis (spirits of young girls who died) force men they find to dance 'til they die, as a revenge. Hilarion dies. Albrecht is taking flowers to Giselle and the Willis find him

@SopranoKayla1992 The Count Albrecht (the guy in green who is greeting the other royal people, just in case you don't know it) and Giselle are in love, but he's supposed to get married to Princess Bathilde (the woman who wears a hat and a green dress - once again, just in case you don't know it), but he told Giselle he's a peasant named Loys. Giselle's ex-boyfriend, Hilarion, is jealous and doesn't believe Albrecht is just a peasant. So, he finds out the truth and tells Giselle (continues...)

Favorite ballet. Favorite ballerina. This is amazing.

The best mad scene ever to grace the stage.

The plot is this royal guy that is engaged comes to this village and falls in love with Giselle (girl in blue dress). But when Giselle finds out Albrecht is engaged already she dies of grief and a broken heart because he doesn't love her. That is the scene we just saw. Act 2 is when Albrecht visits her grave and the Wilis-ghosts (women that have died of a broken heart because their lovers didn't return their love) come and start to kill him as they do with all men. In the end Giselle saves him
This might be my favourite scene in any ballet...Ever.
There are so many levels of emotion and Ferri soars so high above them. She's so fantastic...Never fails to bring me to tears and I'm so thankful for that! Bravo.
