Seriously, this is a great performance. In some of her other performance, there were problems, like the tango. For the cha-cha, they danced to the theme from Ghostbusters but did not put a story behind it. Without a story, the music just seemed loud and annoying. She was a wonderful dancer, but I can understand why she came in fourth.

@TheMintyMuffin also noting that chad and taylor in HSM totally got slighted in their roles every one else got a lot of character involvement but in the second and especially the third monique was barely in it I was kind of pissed it's like they weren't there.

@TheMintyMuffin well hollywood is very racial mosst people don't see it because it's behind close doors like monique even said how originally her role taylor was meant for a white girl but when she auditioned she ended up getting the part. Often times good roles with good character backstory don't get written for us black girls and other women of color which totally is a shame because monique got talent

But seriously, folks. She seems like such a smart, sincere, driven young woman. She's bootylicious, too! So why isn't she getting the same amount of recognition as her female HSM co-stars?
Could it be the lack of a famous boyfriend? Or a nude photo scandal? Or maybe, just MAYBE it has something to do with that whole African-American thing...
