My wife and I trim our two Angora Goat's hooves every three weeks. In this video we show how to trim the extra growth to keep their feet clean and healthy. Check out our other hobby farm activities or homemade items for sale at

  • Sorry, just realized that there was a comment here, wild Goats live on rocky mountain regions where their hooves are ground down as they climb, much like a nail file. Most domesticated goats live on soft grassy farms and their hooves grow without being worn down.

  • Well done. =) I came to youtube looking for a video to show an inexperienced goat owner how to trim hooves to save me the trouble of having to video tape trimming my own goats. Your video was the first one I clicked on and it's exactly what I want her to see. Thanks!

  • So, what happens if the hooves are not trimmed? it seems in the wild they don't get this privilege ... or is it because they're not in their natural habitat and therefore the hooves don't get as much of a workout?
