Trashy Games #67: Conan (NES)

This game was mentioned by GameDude2 at RX Community in the "Worst games ever made" thread and I felt like doing a video on this game. There are many problems wrong with it such as pressing Down to jump (where you normally have A or Up to jump) and a really awkward button combination is needed to pick up an item. I think it was to hold A or B and then Down.

This game turns out to be a really bad port of Myth: History In The Making for the Commodore 64, as what schoolfilmer mentioned.

I have the manual for this game, and it only tells you the controls, and there's 9 pages of the game's storyline and that's it. There's not even any gameplay footage.

@y2k4ever1 I think this game's music is good, except for the fact that it uses a dull low-volume square wave. I know making an audio driver is hard, but they could have tried, but oh wait, that's right, this game was developed by Mindscape, they don't try.

From the graphics i can tell this was probably direct ported from the C64 version of the game, except lacking the great sound chip of the sid, either that or they really didn't care with this game...

These kind of games often make me question the notion that the NES is a fondly-remembered console. For every good game that came out for it, you had ten shitty games for it.
