When i pierced mine , it swelled up like that too . But i dont know if mine was that swelled because i dont have it in anymore rather get it done professionally .

The first time I had my lip pierced I was 16 and my friend did it in the toilets in our local pub. It never swelled, pussed or hurt. I'm now 23, have 18 piercings and have re-pierced my lip various times myself at home. You absolutely have an infection :/ swelling can be normal but sometimes your body can try and reject the piercing. If it throbs and has a burning sensation - take it out.
