this song takes on a whole diferent meaning when you are laying in jail and your friends call in to the radio station and have ti played for you knowing you that you can only pick up one station in there

I remember this album when I was a kid and listened to it conistently. He was the original artist of these songs including Honey and your right, he got some tough breaks

I LOVE this version of the song. First time ever hearing his version or this singer. It shows on Wikipedia that the original and VERY first version of this song was by Sonny Curtis and The Crickets. Is this information accurate? Also was this originally a Country or a Rock? Thanks for posting! :)

This version of ''I Fought The Law'' was produced by Bob Montgomery and arranged by Sonny Curtis.I would think that Buddy Holly would have had first crack at recording this song had he lived.
