1) Boers why don’t you call yourself Africans if you have been there so long? Are you still recognised by your Dutch nations as citizens?
2) The Truth and Reconciliation talks (which was an insult to many dead blacks who died under apartheid. Including the 700+ children who were shot dead by police in the 1970’s) prevented a civil war which would have killed you all, was a monument to African compassion and exoneration.
3) If you think it’s so bad why not move? Europe and Australia are open 2 u

One thing we must all agree, no matter what side of the fence you want to lean on, or jump off of....this world we live in is a very sick society, no longer worth saving.

@StateProtectorate It may not have been obvious when the documentary was made but its the obvious the old guard and the new rich of all all backgrounds are the new minority who couldnt careless about the poor.

@enotes9 - "one eye, singular braincell" - What about what Is stated below?. In your wasteful comment beside insults you have not proven anything!. That is because you to have been blinded by Western propaganda, I live in S.Africa born & bred I do not support Apartheid but understand it's root-cause. J.pilger & the western media, they arrive with one agenda: to taint white South Africa's image to the rest of the world. Attempts to discredit every white S.African as racist & heartless fuck him!
-
@JusticeNature you are correct. pilger has done great journalism here once again. people in s africa comment on this from the insulation and/or the suffering they endure today. we remain one nation, though today we are divided in this rainbow hodge podge left over from aparthate
perhaps @StateProtectorate it is you who has one eye living in S Africa without even that one eye functioning as well as youur singular brain cell. i'm born and raised in the struggle so go and tell that to your auntie or the freaking state you are protecting.
pilger is well informed and so are his viewers, unlike yourself

many did confess. and many who committed such crimes were nothing but criminals and therefore did not confess. likewise, MOST of the hate crimes committed by the class of people who ruled under apartheid were never really notched up as crimes, only reported perhaps as [for example] "Rondebosch resident Mr. P.L. Terblanche kills kaffir intruder" by the papers back then. Hate crimes where often unrecorded or misrepresented as heroic acts by "whites" against people who had no rights ("blacks")

How is it possible, for someone like Patrice Motsepe with such humble beginnings, to become one of the richest people on the planet in a few short years? The new Black elite in SA, are making the laws to suit their own pockets. Nothing of what Mr Mandela fought for, remains. Still, apartheid is being blamed for EVERYTHING that goes wrong in S.A.

I hear what u r saying, but 2 things: 1) the fact that a black elite is emerging so fast is proof for some that sa is a success, not a failure. 2) the black elite serve well to secure the white elite who are still the majority ELITE in any case. The black elite are the problem, but who maintains them? Consider if a working class took over, how quickly we'd have sanctions slapped on us
