I don't there's anything unfortunate about owning a 66 E-type. The GT6 was always known as the poor mans E-type anyway.

nice car, sweet exhaust.
my muffler just blew out on my GT6 and i am thinking of getting the bell sports exhaust. cant decide if i want to spend the money for it tho

Bell Stainless Steel. it was a riot. I wish they made the same style for the E-type.

Ive got a mk3..English built.Hows the sound at 100kms.
Is it droney? Mines got the standard muffler and it sounds like shit..compared to that

Unfortunately I had to sell the car to help finance a 66 E-Type. I have been messing with the E-Type exhaust in hopes that I can fine a note that will give me a similar rush that I got from Bell exhaust on the GT6. I have yet to find the sweet spot on the E. I do not recall any loud drone on the GT6. It also sang at 90 mph in 4th. Some may have thought it was too loud but that is what I liked about it. The E has a VERY loud drone between 16,000 and 19,000 rpm (which is around 70mph). Cheers
