Band in a Box Beginner's Tutorial Tom Willett

This is a place to begin for newbies to Band in a Box. BIAB is a bit expensive but it does an excellent job for anyone who needs band music of any style. It costs less than one recording session. It can be used over and over for music for videos or audio recordings. It also has a vocal track. I am not being paid anything for this product mention and tutorial. I enjoy using the program for some of my videos.

Great tutorial. Does biab 2009 allow me to "freeze" a backing track so I don't have to wait for it to generate each time I use it?

After a song is saved, if you click the Play button, it still takes a few seconds for the Real instruments to load before it starts. The MIDI sounds begin right away. Thanks.

Very useful video, I also have a question about Band In a Box, I wish to make a chord progression in short bursts in one bar these chords "D, A, D" with it finishing and ringing out on D, but I only seem to get 2 chords playing in short progression of each other in one bar. Do you know how to do this?

I have tried putting a ".D" and a "..D" in front of the letters and it still doesn't give me exactly what I need, do you konw a way to modify the tempo or something to make them shorter bursts?

I am not sure I understand your question, but I think you want to put D,A in one box and D in another box. Put a comma after one chord letter and two chords will play in that space. See if that is what you need to do. Good luck. Thanks.

I do not use any interface. I just use the program to create a file that can be wav or mp3. I use tht in my Magix video program as an audio track and I can add anything I want including the vocal. Thanks. I am not able to reply to comments with the Featureman channel for some reason, so I use my alternate channel.
