Senator Barrasso and Senator Coburn (the only two Medical Doctors in the Senate) talk about health care and their new show "The Senate Doctors Show" which airs online every Tues. and Thurs. at 4 p.m. E.T. on the website: http://republican.senate.gov/doctors
Sen. Coburn asked people to "pray hard a senator does not make it," and claims to be a christian. God does not care about man's politics. I still wonder if people understand what socialism even is. Do you understand what capitalism is? Capitalism is socialism for the rich white corporations. It doesn't matter if its republican or democrat. Life is to simple for these political assholes to understand. Vote all politicians out of office that affiliat with either party. Healthcare does need reform.

The federal government already owns our banks, our auto industry and now they're going after the hospitals? When are people going to start getting mad about this? Does anybody remember what the constitution says? "For the people by the people" not " For the government to rule the people" This is still our country and its time to stand up and tell these "marxist" basterds to back off.

I don't know how you like to define socialized but when the government pays the bills the government also decides which bills they will pay, effectively making a decision of which treatments you will receive. The government also decides how much it will pay for procedures which will control how much doctors can make. Taking away incentive for smart people to go into medicine.
So the government decides who gets treated, what treatment they get, and how much the doctor gets paid.

No one is advocating for socialized healthcare. Only government intervention of paying the medical bills, doctors and hospitals will still be private.

As the debate gets more heated and polarized, confusion increases among the public. Not surprising, especially since that is the goal of stakeholder disinformation campaigns. Since the stakes are enormous — health care being 17 percent of our economy — market stakeholders are pulling out all the stops in their lobbying and advertising efforts to make sure that their markets arent bothered too much...phhp

Socialized healthcare will result in a new oppressive and costly bureaucracy and people will still be dying and suffering from lack of medical care.
