It used to be illegal for the military to do such things as this. However, I would have to check the entire Patriot Act, and all the new laws in the US to say that it's illegal now.

@shen96 So if it's illegal, then why has someone not taken it up? Has the media even spoken of this being an illegal act? Has the person taken by the car been charged? If so then surely his defence would be that he was "kidnapped" by a team of renagades who should be charged, or if someone gave them a order, then they should be held accountable. If no media on this, then surely that tells you all what's really happening.

There was a quote from from an official in Pittsburg on a news site saying these were soldiers working w' a multi-agency tactical response team...it is ILLEGAL for the military to engage in domestic law enforcement.
Where r the tea baggers & conservatives protesting this clear threat to our freedoms & Constitution??
