  • Helen is often portrayed as going insane. She's not insane, but if you as the actor see her as such, or would be so in her situation, then be my guest. However, in my experience as Helen, I find her simply lovesick. To what extent is the actor's choice. I'm merely saying that over the years, Helena has turned into a crazy woman. Whenever I see Midsummer, Helena is always the same.

  • Yes I agree with MemoirsofJ, he does seem to know what he is talking about as Samster23 said. I am not convinced by the girl at all, I think she was totally horrible...screaming all the time, she needs voice training, they should start with elecution and projection first. Then on top of that, their acting and understanding of the lines and motivation is not showing in the delivery... needs more work

  • Act II scene I, is actually not this scene. Its the scene where Puck meets the fairy.

  • I think you did a good job (last comment was directed at the drama weakling who was rude) just listen to the other chap's advice, seems to know what he's talking about

  • Neither are you if you call that criticism. Fuck off

  • both needs work on classical acting. Girl is screaming WAY too much, Helena may be going crazy, but she is STILL a human. Guy totally seems rather unprepared... the lines seem a bit off at some points too. Unless you weren't using the first folio scripts, then thats understandable. Vocal work needs a little spiffing up too.

Also, was the first line cut out? The "I love thee not, therefore pursue me not."
