AT LAST! - a replacement for John Peel...

It's interesting to read Chronicles and get his take on all that - when he was hounded out of every town by nutters because he was the Conscience of a Generation, not forgetting being harangued at his concerts for abandoning folk traditions. You can, perhaps, see why he did what he did, maybe it was a crazy period, but they weren't normal fans just after an autograph - they wanted someone to lead them somewhere. A fucking asylum presumably.

Man what I would give if I could have been around then. When the music was good and the artists could actually play instruments, instead of having a computer do it for them. I was born in the wrong era without a doubt. But, at least the music of these great bands lives on.
