Its not all that surprising kcufmalsi. John Adams was the most moral founding father having never owned a slave and he was just all around a good human being. A bit egotistical and grumpy at times but other than that he makes modern politicians look like less than worms in comparison. Even in his own time his goodness pissed off one too many scumbags and when that happens in politics they either bury you literally via the token lone assassin ie conspiracy or they bury your reputation.
