i was wondering if it mattered if u learned a gainer flash before you can do a backflip... cause a gainer is suposibably just a lift.?

o btw Im a gymnast, i havent tried a plain gainer on ground but i do them parallel off the side of a beam and i cannot do a backflip. im a whipper lol (and on floor i do whips instead of layouts)

RE: everyones asking if you need to know a backflip. answer: No. like he said a backflip is a jumping motion, while a gainer... is more of a whipping motion lol Of course you still need to go up, so knowing a backflip will be helpful in getting you off the ground (b/c u still need to lift your chest) Hope this was helpful!!

I could do a gainer flash the second week after I started tricking. I couldn't do a backflip for 4 months :) My technique was horrible on my backflip
