http://lisagloria.com My little brother had one of these when we were kids. When you push it, the little guy in front bounces up and down and turns from left to right, and the bell rings. Delightful! Proceeds from the sale of this painting benefit the Aurora Regional Fire Museum. Auction ends 3-18-11

  • what kind of oil paints do you use?

  • @ArtWithRob either Winsor Newton or Old Holland.

  • Very nice , what surface is that your painting on, looks smooth.

  • @organicpaul It's oil primed Claessens linen. I had toned it some 5-6 months ago with a wash mixture of burnt sienna and ultramarine blue.

  • It was looking good untillll.the colora came in..yuk..

  • @DJSHADDY2K7 Hm, if I understand you're question correctly, you're wondering why I went back to the lettering right after reestablishing the background, right? Lettering is tricky... you have to have it correct, but without hard edges. People are visually drawn to hard edges. So, to get it dark enough, I needed to establish the lettering, then paint around it to control the edges.

  • Lovely! Great painting for the benefit:)
