I love this video. Attrition rates for AAF units in 1944 were over the top.Flight line mechanics were watching their "girls"....and crews vanish,and (for morale's sake) group commanders quietly encouraged "nose art". Young people from the Depression days were lean and mean....and took chances.Some of this still survives.The street racing crowd loves to pose hot young chicks bending over some enthusiast's little Jap/Euro "wedge"...for a good "cover shot".Thanks for the video, Owl....
