THIS JUST IN!!!! The Monks documentary will be released on DVD on Feb. 27th, 2009 but will be available at Play Loud! Productions online store on Jan. 10th, 2009! The DVD will contain 70 minutes worth of bonus footage WHICH WILL INCLUDE all of the Beat Club performances IN THEIR ENTIRETY! It's gonna be MONK TIME all over again in '09 folks!

I hit the Monks practically every week on my Net radio show. Eddie's book is fantastic, and he and sometimes Gary respond over on the monks forum at their website (Dave did too, til he sadly passed this year).
It's beat time, it's hop time, IT'S MONK TIME!!!

Well I'm back looking for Monk vids here on You Tube, finding some stuff that's been uploaded in the past few months I haven't seen yet, like this. The Monks turned my mind inside out when I discovered them in Feb. of 2006 and they do everytime I put on "Black Monk Time." I'M A MONK! YOU'RE A MONK! WE'RE ALL MONKS!

Retribution Records produced the CD of "Monk Time" I bought at Road Runner Records in Mpls.
Check out Shaw's book, "black monk time" published by Carson Street publishing. He is very honest.
