Autism Took my Son

Seven years ago I watched my son Mickie regress into the world of Autism. I know he was born healthy and something triggered his Autism. I kept hearing from other parents that there was a mercury containing preservative that had been used in childhood vaccines since the 1930s. The Autism research institute confirms this. I retraced my steps and documented his vaccine schedule and came to the conclusion that he is mercury toxic. As if things weren't bad enough already, now for the last few months his hair has been falling off.

Autism took my son too. It tends to do that when it is severe. People with aspergers kids call them "autistic" all the time and it makes people think autism isn't so bad. I love my son, but I hate autism.

@CJEB4 It's good to hear that someone gets what I mean. People want to believe that autism is this romantic notion, but it's hell. I too love my son, but hate autism!

Ma'am, you are mistaken. Autism did not take your son. He is not hiding in a prison far away, replaced by this thing in his body. Autism is a part of his personality, and most of us on the spectrum understand that we wouldn't be the same person were it not for autism. You can't pick and choose what you love in a person. Either you love your son with his autism, or you don't.

@Zealotta agreed I have aspergers and, autism is not all that bad unlike how autism speaks makes it look. don't listen to what autism speaks says to autism they demonize autistics and they will bankrupt you with their false treatments and therapies that claim to help but do harm on the person. if you get your child the right services he may have a future where he can live on his own be able to go to college and have a high paying job.

@marikachica I know there's a lot of differences on the spectrum. If I tell someone i'm autistic, he won't understand. But if I try to act NT, it won't work either.

@Sylbao not to insult high functioning autistics/aspergers, the two(next to moderate and severe autism) just can't be compared. they are just different, i understand your being positive about your level of disorder and accept it, but most people on the spectrum cant even express that they have it, it would be like comparing someone overcoming the flu to someone else not making it after cancer :/ my brother has autism and i love him dearly but if he could grasp acceptance/positiveness so would I.

@BiancaDarling Not to mention people are waiting to have children later and later in life. After 30, the eggs and sperm are much lower quality and higher in faulty genes.  While I agree that the amount of EMR we're being exposed to is awful anymore, this late-life baby issue could be part of the problem, too. I have Asperger's and my sister has more severe Autism; we were born in my mom's 40s. My much-older brothers are all fine.

@razieltwiggy Interesting info. :) Actually, there are groups of adult women with Aspergers and Autism who are fighting for recognition by the medical community. Since girls typically show differing symptoms or don't appear to have any problem until it begins to manifest itself much later, girls and women are being underdiagnosed and ignored. Some are saying it could be as high as 1:1 girls to boys on the spectrum.

@lachikibaby03 19 people in my family are on the spectrum somewhere, so I'm inclined to believe that Autism is genetic. Whether they have SID, PDD-NOS, HFA, Asperger's, or are simply INTJ personality type, they are all on the spectrum at varying levels. The worst off is still a bright boy and he blooms around the right people and shuts down around the wrong--it all depends on how they treat him. Every one of us, including the ones on the spectrum have an IQ between 100 and 200.

my brother has autism and he's wonderful,everybody all should know a child with autism is even more special than any other person in the world. Why do people care about reasons when you get somebody so beautiful. It's a gift although he or she is sometimes different. Angry about something we would never be angry about. You should know how smart they are. Not only in sums or something like that but just that their love for nature and for family is so big etc..
