Ecological Park Project

The idea of Ecological Park relies on ensuring ecological clean periods in all stages of ecological restoration, rehabilitation and planting of greenery.
This pilot project popularizes implementation of zero waste principle of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic including implementation of wasteless technologies or technologies that discharge very little waste.
The project serves as an experience, model and agitation center for industrial enterprises, and as system of enlightenment in implementation of similar projects for middle level managers of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic, for population and young generation.

Purpose of the project:

• Implementation of renewable energy sources in the Park;
• Propaganda and implementation of environmentally friendly technologies;
• Establishment of "Ecological Center" in the park. Environmental enlightenment for young people and specialists of SOCAR in the center;
• Propagation of rare and endangered bush and tree saplings in Absheron peninsula;
• Cultivation of bushes and trees adapted to the environment and characteristics of rehabilitated zones;
• Implementation of effective irrigation system;
• In accordance with the assignment of the president of Azerbaijan Republic on planting around 3 million trees and bushes in Absheron peninsula and Baku, this park will serve to provide enterprises and establishments of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic with tree and bush saplings;

All the implemented and used waste-free, energy efficient and new technologies will be used for the enlightenment and propaganda of "green" way of thinking to people.
