MKW Custom Track GCN Rainbow Road BKT (WR) 3.17.420 By WorldsBoss + New Strat!

In actual fact the new strat that I'm talking about is the mini-turbo after the shortcut which (if done correctly) can save almost a whole second if performed each lap. However patience certainly was the virtue here.... this time was SO difficult to get O.o I was getting pretty consistent laps of 1"06'0xx but every single time I'd fail on lap 3 at the shortcut -.- it is definitely harder than it looks....

Splits:
Lap 1 = 1"05'936
Lap 2 = 1"05'842
Lap 3 = 1"05'642
Total = 3"17'420

Good grief! I saw the final time and was like O.o dwah? I thought I'd really messed up on lap 3 (especially the ending fail.... released the MT too late and for some reason accidentally hopped before the finish) but that is a new best split, therefore making the best possible time on this course 3"16'926. For a long time I had 3"18'334 so tbh I was expecting to only just barely get the sub, much to my surprise I was able to get it by a whole .580!!! I kept my shroomstrat of using the mushroom to hop over a gap in the road rather than Tim's which used it to weave around the bends without slowing down. Mine still looked faster imo...

I did try to record the replay (including splits on screen etc) after the race but I accidentally messed up the recording :( I was also quite looking forward to showing off the custom music I put with this course.... *sigh* oh well....

As you can probably tell, I am far from done with this course :P I want to improve it so I can consistently get splits of 1"05'6xx so that I can keep my wr, however I'm sure that before too long other players will be hot on my tail with TTing it (*cough* Chouy and Inviso).

@mkdasher Actually I'm pleased to hear that :) I want this CT to be as glitch-free as possible for the final release. Were you able to add a texture to the underside of the track too? Without it the thing looked glitchy from below. Also there was a slight checkpoint problem in the area with the second set of item boxes (if you take the corner as wide as you can, right on the edge, then the lap won't count). Tim has apparently found another s/c glitch so you might wanna find out about that.

@worldsboss no, i couldnt add the texture, it says its too complex, but maybe i could try to add textures in some parts of the underside. I think I already fixed the checkpoint thing but not sure, and yeah it would be good to know whats the other sc glitch to fix it.

@fbrgls77 CONGRATS!!! :D 1"06'444 is very good indeed, my best split was something like that for quite a while! Now I'm aiming for a run where all three laps are 1"05'5xx (my best split is 1"05'556 so I really wanna get the 3"17 sub)
