Check out Berlin's official website: http://www.berlinpage.com

Another track from Berlin's debut album "Information", featuring Virginia Macolino on vocals (Terri Nunn had temporarily left the band at the time of recording to pursue an acting career).

This album should really be remastered and issued on cd, it's a great set of songs and it would surely sell!

  • So this is NOT Toni Childs? I'm hoping to listen to Berlin before Nunn joined. I know most of their stuff from that point. Excellent job- NUNN.

  • @Brandy13231 No, the vocalist on this first Berlin album is Virginia Macolino.

Toni Childs helped write some early material (and may have played a few live shows with the band) but she never recorded any material with Berlin as vocalist.

  • This is the version of Berlin that I love. My sister new John Crawford. Went to Fullerton College w/ him. She was always on the guest list. And I went with her many times. Cuckoos Nest, Ichabods, Madame wongs etc. I wish there was some live stuff from this era.

Crawford Had a 3 peice synthesizer band called "Farenheit" after Virginia left AND before Terri Nunn regrouped to make the Berlin we know of today. Does Anyone have any info on that?

  • @chippy92688 Cool, thanks for the info!

Yes, there actually is a video of John fronting Farenheit here on Youtube! Do a search for "Dancing In Berlin MAO Version" and you'll get it.

I only found out about Farenheit myself through that video, Dan van Patten (the drummer on Information) left a comment there mentioning them!

Thanks again for the background info on John!

  • Gwen Stephani must of heard this because this is her but 15 year's prior.Very good song and maybe they should have kept this talented lady although I love Terri Nunn's singing.

  • @Blitzspeer I totally agree,Gwen was kinda riding on the new wave coat tails with No Doubt.

  • @Jarren202 Thank you. I listened to the NBC interview with Teri Nunn and they discuss Toni Child being with the band before she joined and was hired from an add that she had placed in the paper looking for a band. They both said what a great singer she was and Teri asked the band why they would want her when they already had that kind of talent. I'm now researching Virginia...thank you again.

  • @HarryPotter87 You find another "BENATAR"...let the world know!

  • @ChopBoy09 The singer (who replaced Terri Nunn) almost sounds like Pat Benetar.

  • @chippy92688 Thank you! I'd love them!

  • i love new wave defo my kind music. "my cup of tea, i am a new wave freak". The european music from 80s and early 90s is best music in world. Modern commercial music is too repetitive and lost, very lost, the best inspiring music is from 80s as all tunes are original and different.
