As long as I continue to take my ropinole (requip) I do pretty good. Its starting not to work as well, and with the bounce back affect most days I have to start taking them on an average 3pm. I havent been able to get under control is the jumps and tremor that my arms, legs everywhere as soon as a dose off it goes off. Requip dosen't do anything. Tonight Ive been up all night. the only way Ive found to get sleep is taking xanex, antarx or sleeping pills. none of these I hate taking. I cant get any of the docs to step up and take responsibility for me. Neurology says its not neurological and I have to go to psych./ and psych says is not mental.... I'm so tired. If anyone has any suggestion I would love to hear them. All test are clear. One of the neurologist muscle specialist said that I have psychogenic movement disorder/conversion disorder. But it dosn,t help me because the 2 departments wont talk to each other.

  • mine went away after I started drinking more water. Also, stress can cause this.

  • I have similar, though not as severe, bless you, but then again, I wouldn't be able to just lie there as they are excrutiating. I have M.E.

  • This has happened to me for years. I attribute the onset to bicycle accidents and one attacker in a park one night who left me with some nerve damage. I take clonazepam, which works, but ha to ask for it to be prescribed for INSOMNIA as the doc would NOT diagnose shaking legs, hands, arms, and sometimes torso to anything but "nervousness". That is, due to anxiety and in my head! I can concentrate to relax and make it subside, BUT this needs proper diagnosis and treatment!! It's a nightmare.

  • I am currently on anti-biotics for my cyst. I read that medication can cause spasms. This morning i had one, I fell of the bed and my leg locked stright. I could not bend it. I was shouting because it hurts soo much. The muscle of my leg became hard as rock while the other was soft, while in the same position. It was a horrible experience and somehow it only happens to me when im on some sort of medication

  • Did you ever find out what causes these?

  • in opiate withdrawl same thing happen the restless legs and doctors prescribe clonidine which can curb it and it gets bad in withdrawls and yes you get it more so when laying down and sometimes sitting legs down. I have used it and it is a God send. I have just gotten it as a youth maybe from too much working the legs but I have also since been diagnosed with scoliosis among other ailments. Potassium I recommend in addition it can curb cramps etc great for the heart.

  • Is your calcium level normal?
