The origin. Made for the I'm Linux contest. I wanted to stay away from live footage, or any usual representation. Instead I looked for a more abstract form, trying to touch symbols (they tend to be stronger). Everything is symbolic in this video and has a purpose, from the very beginning with the cell/egg form representing the beginning of life, the metamorphosis, multiplication, then fusion to build something better and stronger (only with collaboration you can go higher), etc.

  • The intelligent part about it is the i (Apple) + You (Google) + We (Everybody) = Linux

Nice equation for the current trends in market and development. Even a 5 years old can understand it!

  • Outstanding!!! Awesome!!!

  • This is BEAUTIFUL. I didn't know software was capable of effects like this.

  • That's friggin awesome! Very moving. Nice work! Oh, and what are the two things after desktop and corporate?

  • I did some research, here's his reply to the question:

"I only used three softwares in here : After Effects, Pixelmator, Soundbooth. I first had a very ambitious project with a lot of 3D (using blender and houdini), but timewise it was impossible and on top of that rendertimes wouldn't fit the deadline. So I took the decision to rebuild my hole concept and do it on a more Motion Graphic way (but keeping some of that 3D perspective)."

  • aha.. I totally forgot about it

  • It was probably made in blender if it was on linux

  • I'm more interested in the program used to make this, or did you make it in a Windows application??? please answer..

  • love this vid
