In the summer 2007 this very proud Hip Hop'er from Burnley in Lancashire (UK) was given the opportunity to represent alongside some of the founding fathers of our beloved culture at the Crotona Park Jams in the Bronx, New York aka the home of Hip Hop.
Not only was i the first 'white boy' or European ever allowed this privilage but this event usually has a strict 'Legends Only' policy!
I'd like to thank all the TRUE legends there that day for letting me bring my brand of Hip Hop back to it's cultural home, these included...
Grandmaster Caz, DJ Jazzy Jay, DJ Red Alert, Pop Master Fabel, Lord Finesse, DJ Mean Gene & Stevie Dee
It was also a great privilage to have this day commemorated by the photography of legendary Hip Hop photographer Joe Conzo, whose work you can see in this clip.
Special thanks and props go out to Christie Z-Pabon of Tools of War, who makes these events possible and in putting me on here, gave me a memory of a lifetime!
Finally i'd like to thank the Boogie Down Bronx for giving the World Hip Hop culture (and me such a warm reception that day!)
Peace
Woody
