why would you get an econoline rather then a chevy? personally i like the look of the 70s to early 90s chevy van over anything else.

I'm not familiar with Chevy vans... I like the 69-74 econs because I had one growing up...........I like how they drive, as well as the look inside and out..... I'm not sure what gauge steel Ford used but it's the thickest metal I've ever seen on a vehicle..

Well, I decided to keep the fender flares.... The 4 new FIRESTONE DESTINATION A/T tires and are pretty wide tires and the flares protect my fenders, rockers and body from stones/dirt/nicks/debris. I'll post a new video soon of the undercarriage, motor, inside, etc.. I love this van. I waited many years for the right time to get a rustless 1970 Econoline.

why does the motor sound like that its loud up front is the fan bent or the gas to rich or does it have an oil preshuer problem

Hi Thunderbird948..No oil pressure problem, no fan problem, but when I took this video it was running rich, needed new points, and the alternator bearings were toast. Has recent custom headers piped into a single 3" exhaust just 2 yrs ago so no leaks. The orig owner was an engineering mechanical perfectionist and for 40 years stored it indoors out of the sun & never saw rain until I obtained it last year in 2010. The underbody is so clean I can literally shine the floors & frame w/ car polish.
