I always hated when Fern and Davy perform and Davy blows the performance and thus humiliates Fern. She is sympathetic as all.

It would have been brilliant if they'd wound up shooting him singing it in full as a video demo on that stage.

@Monkeefan4life I wonder Micky, Peter or Mike were trying to screw up. Ex. Micky's funny comedian jokes were not funny (for us as audience: yes it was funny), Peter messed up some tricks, and Mike sings fast, stutters a little bit, feel stage fright and nervous to sing in front of the camera.

Cool thing about this video is Billy Roy Micheal Nesmith) singing a speeded up country version of the Stone Poney's and Linda Ronstadt's famous song 'Different Drum' which Nesmith wrote,

Billy Roy never fails to crack me up!!! How Mike got thru this show with out an Emmy, is beyond me!!
I actually prefer Mickys impression of Fred Astaire's impression of the inimitable James Cagney..
The irony being the very definition of the word inimitable is incapable of being imitated.
That's you grammar lesson for the day, children:)
