Question - Ok so usually when you do a tri-tone substitution on like G7 for example it becomes Db-7 (ish) ..but can it be a C#-7 instead of Db-7? I know it makes more sense for it to be Db-7 since the chord progressing your showing is going down half a step. But I mean would it be consider correct if I would of put the progression like this? Dmin7 - C#7 - Cmaj7

looks like good on theory, but you just talk about some triads and no melody, what about if you better explain how to harmonized a melody.

@shredicon86 Groovy! Glad you dig. Secondary and Tritone Subs are closely related. D-7 G7 CMaj7. A7 is secondary dominant to D-7, Eb7 is Tritone sub for A7. Tricky but beautiful stuff. Jazz on, and be well! Thanks for checking me out!
