Drum Solo 2

This was really a sound check but I kept it because some of it was fun. Decided to get the second bass drum pedal a little active in this one. The linear rolls are cool to play and sound just as neat. I changed the shell sizes in this video to 12", 14" and 16" and the batter on the bass drum has a remo ps3 instead of the ambassador. I might like the ambassador more because of the punchiness but the ps3 has more bottom. Let me know what you think. Also using the 8"x14" wood snare here.

Are you running any kind of internal dampening on the bass drum in this video? I love the sound you are getting out of your kick! Also, is it a clear or coated PS3 that your using?

none except a felt strip on both sides. PS3 coated with a falam pad. Thanks!

could yo u post a tutorial on the bass drum slide technique?.. all the videos ive seen are crap, and i cant get that stupid technique down.

Ok, I've been asked to do another foot technique vid by many but if you check out the one I have up now, you may see the action closer up. For the most part, the slide technique is similar to throwing a stone and skipping it on the water but you're skipping on the pedal instead. I hope this helps a little.
