Removal of wood of the fallen chestnut three. On 23 August 2010 around 13.30 hours the chestnut tree that Anne Frank wrote about in her diary fell down, together with its iron supporting construction.
For decades as long as anything Anne wrote about remained that we as readers of her diary could go and visit and pay our respects to, well, we could somehow feel a connection to her. Now we've one more connection lost...
i heard about that yesterday, my dad told me. I was very sad, to me, that tree is part of history. I have read so much about Anne Frank, and every book i loved. I cant wait to read her diary. We watched Anne Frank with Hannah Taylor Gordon, and i was the only one in my class who cried. Anne Frank will always live in are hearts!
