@oopspaw - you are most generous - it is good to see the snowdrops popping through there as they are here. We had a late flurry of snow here at the weekend 10 cm but that is set to depart during the week as spring is certainly on the way.

Hey Katie,
Very neat. The icy water looks pretty cold. I just posted my second video at "Arizona Journey 2010" on You Tube. It's in big contrast from up there in Canada aye.

@taos52 ... yes, the wind alone was pretty cold (it was about 32-30F) ... brrr ... so i imagine the water was frigid! i would NOT want to fall in!! LOL ... i can't wait to check out your new vid!! arizona's dry hot arid landscapes are a far cry from the east coast, that's for sure! ... =D

I like winter and the snow - but from the inside in a centrally heated house with double glazing looking out - that is the best way to do winter.

@johncrwarner ... hahaha, that's hilarious. of course, all homes here in canada are centrally heated ... ;D ... not sure what double glazing is though?
oopspaw 2 years ago
@oopspaw - the European name for insulated glazing or glass. In Europe it is usually two panes of glass with a vacuum between but in Canada it is probably three layers of glass LOL

@johncrwarner ... aahh, well that explains it. single panes are a thing of the past. pretty much all windows here are double-paned and YES we do have tripple-paned windows but they are pretty expensive =( so, the average home jusy does with double=panes ... =D
