This is one of several several Christmas records Frank cut in the late 1940's and fans who are familiar with his 50's and 60's voice might not recognize him here. The voice was already in transition from the high and clear tenor of the early 1940's and was becoming much deeper. He was also having problems with his voice during this period due to both overwork and stress brought on by personal and career issues. I believe this was recorded around 1948.
