  • The original was a massive hit for Glenn Miller in 1944, reaching no. 16 on the Billboard Juke Box Chart and no. 2 on the Billboard Harlem Hit Parade Chart, the then equivalent of the later R&B Chart. Glenn Miller pianist Chummy MacGregor co-wrote the music. Sunny Skylar added lyrics after the record became a smash hit. Back Alley Hoodoo do an excellent interpretation, doing it in their own style.
