Vic Ruggiero from The Slackers performs at Simmerdown Manor in the Spring of 2010. This is his excellent cover of the old Bob Dylan classic.

  • Thanks for posting this whole house show. I can't get sick of The Slackers and their solo work. House shows like this are always the best. It's pretty rad that this is out there in the interwebs

  • @ScottBlueRibbon - Thanks for watching! It was incredibly cool to have Vic play at my house. He was in town for a Slackers show, then came back a few weeks later for a solo show. He was in town for several days, biding his time until a Slackers European tour. I asked him to play on my radio show, which he did. He also asked me to help set up a coffeehouse gig. I said, "I don't know much about the coffeehouse gig scene, but I know you'd make more $ playing a show at my house." He did.

  • I love Vic

  • Thanks much, love the slackers..Oi!

  • @djsimmerdown Man, that same story (or similar) is almost like an urban legend with the dude. It's remarkable that he is as down to play a house as he is a big venue. Perhaps even more.

Just posted a vid I took of the Aggrolites playing a tiny show in Hollywood on Halloween. When they play LA proper (as the headliner) it always seems to be some hyper small show. They could sell out bigger venues here, but they choose to play unofficial style shows in small places. I was lucky to hear about it

  • Yep, Wow!

  • Love the addition of harmonica and that this went down in someones living room

  • The Sheer amount of music he has made in the last twenty or so years is in itself impressive
