did you feel deprived? if i ever have kids i'm getting them nes or snes when they're like 7 or 8, and then maybe when they're older, whatever the latest system is.

I too remember getting a SNES. I played supermario world with me and and sister all night even when I had to go to school the next day.

I was 9 years old when I received a SNES with Mortal Kombat on Christmas. Being a child is such a magical time.

@Jaseida I'm so sorry. Two years ago, I had lost my paternal grandfather just two days after Christmas :'( I was told a few days before Christmas that he wasn't doing well.

On Christmas morning I got my Super nintendo from my Grandpa...
Special to me and my sister because he kinda got it as a parting gift because he was dieing and getting weak....A month later he died and we remember that last gift he gave us. ( a story we tell our kids at Christmas)

I actually got a sega that day :) I was so happy...I kept playing Sonic all day.
