Is the symbol movie for the people opensource, and actually the satellital conection is possible for ip address but the is not used for motive of security

satellites are not connected through internet so they dont have ip's. They are connected by a secure groundstation which is also not connected.

Actually a modified version of the IP protocol is being looked at for the next generation of inter-system communications in space...
Of course, its entirely possible to use IP addressing on orbital satellites...its just not done because, well, there isn't really any point.
It still makes for a cool sequence though :)
