Girls Day 2011

Girls Day at City Hall was an event designed to encourage young women and girls to seek leadership positions in Public Service. Lead by Alderwoman Milele Coggs, it was an effort to increase awareness about the lack of women in office in Milwaukee WI. It was an opportunity for women in leadership to encourage the next generation of leaders to take their position in community service, public service and elected office. The event was a huge success, that lead to many young women and girls seeking new mentors in public service.
