Taken from a concert in a retirement village (unnamed, at their request) in Pa. on 5/19/07. In any jazz concert I perform, I'll dip into the "stride bag", since that's where it all started for me (and still defines a significant part of it). For an audience of (mainly) seniors, this represents a greater percentage of what I'll present.

Thanks for this. Listen and absorb. Play purposely, no matter how simply. Use a metronome, set on 2 and 4 (you may have to work up to that). Keep the tempos modest. Experiment freely. Practice in all keys. About the best I can do in 500 characters or less :)

Joe, one of the greatest renditions of this song I have ever heard. And believe me I have heard some good ones. What type of exercises should i be practicing to play like this. Any advice would be appreciated.
